Meet the inertia wave energy converter
Conquer the ocean
Our new wave energy converter is perfectly suited to address the complexities of capturing ocean energy.
Hermetically sealed hull - We are able to protect the internal mechanisms of the device by exposing exactly zero (0) moving parts to the hostile ocean environment. This means no biofouling, no salt water corrosion, and a high level of robustness during storms.
No mooring required - While mooring will still be a primary use case, it is not strictly required to operate the device. This means powered applications can sail out to sea, use the generated power on board for things like hydrogen generation, and deliver it back to port. It also enables deployment into waters of any depth.
Activated in any conditions - Unlike some existing designs, this configuration does not require any kind of predictable rhythm from the waves to function properly. As long as the device is in motion, the device will generate power.
Here’s how it works
In this explainer video, we share how the device operates by breaking it down step by step. We also show the initial prototype in action, showing that the theory matches our observations. An updated prototype is currently under construction!
